meet the photographer

Erica Keane

I am a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter and a best friend. I find clarity when I run and I enjoy coming home to cook a homemade meal. If I were to tell you 3 words to describe me: I am animated, honest and loving!

I grew up in Newtown, CT and currently reside in Southbury, CT with my husband, my two little children and our rescue dog Ruby. Not only am I a photographer, but I am a high school teacher as well! I teach a really cool program called Child Development. I teach my students how to teach, then THEY teach a preschool out of my classroom!

I love a good motivational quote and I would like my house to look like my pinterest board. I'd like to think that someday I will have enough time to do that, but seriously, who ever has enough time?!  I have an unhealthy obsession with chunky necklaces, and have quite the collection of them. I have completed a Half-Ironman and the Marine Corps Marathon. They are both on my bucket list to do them again.

It is incredibly important to me that I get to know my clients and my clients get to know me.  Send me an email and lets set up a time to chat over a cup of coffee or a beer! Cheers!

Love is what makes the ride worthwhile!"

It had to be you!

My love story started on a cruise. ....wait,.... say, what? It's true- something fairy tails were made of.  I was with my girlfriend Cate on this crazy adventure called "The Rock Boat." Imagine, 30 band on a cruise from Tampa, FL to Cozumel, Mexico. It was Labor Day weekend, 2003. He was with his friends, we were on our way into an Edwin McCain concert. That is where it all started, a boy from Maryland, a girl from CT, both with their friends on this crazy cruise ship.... our first date was to a beach in Mexico. On the way home, I called my sister and told her, "I just met the man I am going to marry." Here we are, 14 years later, until forever,....

Behind the scenes

climbing mountains, being outdoors

When I am not out photographing a wedding, my family and I love climbing mountains. We are lucky enough to vacation every summer at a cottage on the water in New Hampshire. The weather and the water are some of the reasons this is our favorite place to visit and relax as a family, with family!

Our favorite vacation spot

One for each hand

We have 2 children, one for each hand, or one for both of us. Our family is everything that I could have dreamed. An older brother to watch out for his little sister. There is nothing more enjoyable than seeing the world through the eyes of a child.
